Day 27 — Love That Changes Us
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
Summary
As our Advent journey begins to wind down, we pause to reflect on what these days of preparation have been shaping within us. We have waited, made room, received, and grown — and now we stand at the threshold of transformation.
Love does not enter our lives to remain passive.
Love changes us.
When we prepare Him room, we are not simply welcoming Jesus into a moment — we are allowing Him to reshape our hearts, our thinking, and the way we live.
Insight for Today — Love Does Not Leave Us the Same
The love of Christ is gentle, but it is also powerful. It heals without harming, convicts without condemning, and transforms without force.
When Jesus enters a heart that has been prepared for Him, change begins quietly and steadily:
Old patterns loosen their grip.
Fear gives way to trust.
Bitterness softens into forgiveness.
Rest replaces striving.
Purpose begins to take shape.
This is not overnight change — it is Spirit-led transformation. And it is one of the clearest signs that love has truly been received.
Going Deeper — From Preparation to Transformation
Advent is not meant to be a temporary spiritual exercise. It is a posture that teaches us how to live.
Preparing Him room leads to transformation because it creates space for truth, grace, and the Spirit of God to work freely in us.
As we near the end of this journey, it’s worth asking:
What has shifted in my heart?
What has softened?
What has grown?
What has been released?
Even small changes matter. Love works deeply, not hurriedly.
Pointing to Jesus
Jesus changes lives simply by being welcomed. Wherever He went, things were never the same — hearts were restored, identities were redeemed, and lives were redirected.
The same Savior who came humbly in a manger still brings transformation today. When He is given room, He brings new life.
And tomorrow, as this Advent journey concludes, we will be invited to carry this posture forward — not as a season, but as a way of life.
Reflection/Prayer
Jesus, thank You for the work You have been doing in my heart throughout this Advent season. Continue to change me from the inside out. Help me remain open, surrendered, and willing to follow You beyond this season. I want to live a life that continually prepares You room. Amen.
Application Question
As this Advent journey nears its end, what change has God begun in you? How can you continue to make room for Him moving forward?
