Day 27-Christ Living Through You

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” — Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)

Summary

Consecration reaches its deepest point when we realize that the Christian life is not about self-improvement, but about self-surrender. Paul declares that his old life has been crucified and replaced by a new way of living—Christ living through him.

This verse invites us into a life marked by trust, dependence, and daily surrender.

Insight for Today

To be “crucified with Christ” means that the old self—driven by pride, fear, control, and self-reliance—no longer rules. This does not mean we lose our personality or individuality; it means our lives are no longer centered on self.

The life we now live is lived by faith—trusting Christ to lead, empower, and sustain us moment by moment.

Going Deeper

This statement is not about erasing ourselves but about reordering our lives. Christ becomes the center rather than an addition. Consecration is allowing Christ’s life to shape our responses, priorities, and decisions.

As Christ lives through us, our lives begin to reflect His character more clearly.

Living by Faith

Living by faith means daily dependence. We trust Christ not only for salvation, but for strength, wisdom, and direction. Faith is not passive—it is active reliance on God in everyday life.

Consecration grows as we learn to release control and trust Christ to live His life through us.

Loved and Given For

Paul anchors this surrender in love. Christ loved us and gave Himself for us. Consecration is never about obligation—it is a response to love. When we remember the cost and care behind Christ’s sacrifice, surrender becomes an act of gratitude.

Pointing to Jesus

Jesus gave His life fully so His life could be lived through us. He does not call us to live on our own strength, but to live from His presence within us.

The Christian life is Christ expressed through surrendered hearts.

Prayer

Jesus, thank You for loving me and giving Yourself for me. I surrender my life to You again today. Teach me to live by faith, trusting You to lead and live through me. Let my life reflect Your love and purpose. Amen.
