Day-1    When God Feels Silent in the Struggle

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” – John 8:36

Today’s Truth

When you’ve cried out for years, begged for freedom, and still feel stuck—it hurts.
It doesn’t just hurt emotionally—it shakes your faith. You start to wonder: Why hasn’t God delivered me yet? Does He hear me? Am I doing something wrong? Am I just a terrible Christian?

But the truth is: prolonged struggle doesn’t mean God has abandoned you. It doesn’t mean you’re unloved, unworthy, or unseen. Often, it means God is doing a deeper work than we realize—a work of healing, refining, and rebuilding trust.

Devotional Teaching

There’s a lie many of us believe: 'If God really loved me, He would’ve set me free by now.'

But Scripture tells us over and over that God’s love is not proven by our immediate deliverance—it’s proven by the cross. Jesus died to set you free, yes. But freedom is not always instant. Sometimes, it’s walked out daily, slowly, painfully—with God by your side.

Jesus didn’t say, 'Who the Son sets free will feel free right away.' He said,  ‘You will be free indeed.'  That means freedom is a promise, even when it’s not yet your present experience.

What if the delay isn’t denial? What if God is strengthening your spiritual muscles, teaching you to trust Him in the wilderness, so when you walk in fullness of freedom—you’ll never forget who brought you there?

Freedom doesn’t always look like the absence of struggle. Sometimes it looks like the presence of faith *in* the struggle. And that faith—even if it’s shaky—is precious to God.

You are not a failure. You are a fighter. And God is not done.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I don’t understand why I still struggle in this area. I’ve cried out, prayed, fasted, repented, and still feel stuck. It’s tempting to believe You don’t hear me or that I’m just too broken to be free.

But today, I choose to believe Your Word above my feelings. You say I am free, even when I don’t feel it. You say I am loved, even when I feel ashamed. You say You’re working, even when I can’t see it.

Give me the strength to keep trusting. Remind me that You are with me in this valley. And let my faith grow stronger—even in the waiting.

I believe. Help my unbelief.

Amen.
