Day 25-Confidence to Draw Near

“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh.”   — Hebrews 10:19–20 (NKJV)

Summary

Consecration is not about keeping distance from God—it is about drawing near. This passage reminds us that through Jesus, access to God is no longer restricted. What was once separated by a veil has been opened by His sacrifice, inviting us into closeness, confidence, and communion.

Insight for Today

Under the old covenant, only the high priest could enter the Holiest Place, and only once a year. But when Jesus gave His life, the veil was torn. Access to God was no longer limited by fear, performance, or position.

Because of the blood of Jesus, we are invited to approach God boldly—not arrogantly, but confidently. Consecration flows from knowing we are welcome in His presence.

Even when we have sinned, failed, or fallen short, this access does not change. We do not approach God after we have cleaned ourselves up—we approach Him because Jesus already has. Shame tells us to withdraw, but grace invites us to draw near. The blood of Jesus did not merely open the door on our best days; it opened the way permanently, even on our weakest ones.

Going Deeper

Jesus did not merely open a door; He became the way. This new and living way is not ritual-based or works-based—it is relational. Through His sacrifice, we are brought into ongoing, living fellowship with God.

Consecration is responding to this invitation by choosing intimacy over distance and presence over avoidance.

Through the Veil

The veil represented separation caused by sin. When Jesus’ body was broken, the veil was removed. This means there is no barrier left between God and those who are in Christ.

We do not consecrate ourselves to gain access. We consecrate ourselves because access has already been given.

This truth reshapes prayer, worship, and obedience. We come to God not as outsiders, but as sons and daughters.

Consecration and Boldness

Boldness does not mean confidence in ourselves—it means confidence in what Jesus has done. When we know we are fully accepted, we stop hiding, striving, or withdrawing.

Consecration becomes a joyful response to grace rather than an attempt to earn it. We draw near because we are invited.

Pointing to Jesus

Jesus is both the sacrifice and the way. Through His body, He removed the barrier and brought us near to God. He invites us to live from a place of closeness, freedom, and confidence in the Father’s presence.

Prayer

Jesus, thank You for opening the way for me to draw near to God. Help me live with confidence rooted in Your sacrifice. Teach me to approach God freely, honestly, and continually. Let my life reflect gratitude for the access You have given me. Amen.

Reflection

What might change in your prayer life or daily walk if you truly lived with confidence that you are always welcome in God’s presence?
